Since moving from Philadelphia in 1973, Lee Schoenbart has pretty much been a life-long Californian (40+ years). He moved to West Hollywood before it was a city, then to Laguna Beach, La Jolla and San Diego. There were various stints living in the Bay Area preceding and following his brother's death on Thanksgiving Day 1995.
A writer, editor and publicist all his adult life, Lee left his assistant metro and community news editorships at The San Diego Union-Tribune to pursue his "dream career" in real estate in 2005.
When Lee and his partner purchased their home in 2000, he remembered that he wanted excellent service and consideration with an astute eye for detail… and that's what you'll get from Lee, whether you are buying or selling a home.
Here's what some of his real estate clients have said about their working together:
"It was a pleasure to work with Lee, he brought a thoughtful, intelligent energy to the process." - Terry A. and Rachelle A.
"I want to thank you for the outstanding professionalism you exhibited in handling the sale of our aunt's house." - Jim. K.
"I am writing to acknowledge the excellent service my family received in two separate, but concurrent, transactions - both expertly handled by Lee." - Robert E.
"We found Lee to be a highly attentive agent, almost as if we were his only client. We never felt neglected or unimportant." - Alfred L. and Kurt K.
Before coming to Prudential California Realty (re-branded as Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties), Lee worked as the managing editor for numerous business and entertainment industry publications including the monthly Comstock's: The Business of California's Capital Region and the quarterly Comstock's: The Business of Northern Nevada, as well as San Diego's North County Entertainer and Del Mar Times. He was also the publisher of a series of entertainment publications in the Bay Area: San Francisco Hot Ticket!, Guide Magazine San Francisco and San Francisco Style Monthly.
The last time Lee returned from the Bay Area in 1999, he became managing editor of content for Solution Media's Internet music company SpinRecords.com followed by the Del Mar Times editorship and a season as the Del Mar Fair's nighttime media information officer.
Under his former nom de plume, "Jeff Wilson," Lee created a market niche for his self-syndicated column, Hot Wax Music Report, covering industry trends and authoring exclusive celebrity interviews from 1976-1996. During this time, he worked on a number of publicity-related projects with Motown, Megatone and Moby Dick Records, and was a member of the National Academy of Recording Arts & Science (NARAS), producers of the annual Grammy Awardsä program.
He also contributed to the national best-sellers "Dreamgirl: My Life As A Supreme" by Mary Wilson, and J. Randy Taraborrelli's unauthorized biographies of Diana Ross and Michael Jackson, respectively, "Call Her Miss Ross" and "Michael Jackson: The Magic and the Madness."
His pledge is to bring that same energy, integrity and attention to detail of 30-plus years in the publishing and entertainment industries to your real estate needs.
