Leo Birov

Leo Birov is the quintessential entrepreneur and founder of Heritage Luxury Builders, established in 1989 when he built his own home in Winnetka. With a master’s degree in engineering and years of experience as a senior electronics engineer at Motorola, Leo brought a unique technical perspective to home construction. Acting as his own general contractor for his first build, he gained hands-on expertise from the ground up.

Since then, Leo has overseen the construction of nearly 100 custom luxury homes across Chicago’s North Shore, each crafted with the same meticulous attention to detail as his own. His deep understanding of architecture, zoning, construction management, and the local market has been instrumental in Heritage’s growth and reputation as the premier luxury builder in the region.

Leo’s commitment to excellence and innovation has earned him widespread recognition, including media features and industry accolades. His work spans a variety of architectural styles and geographic areas, including expansion into the City of Chicago and Milwaukee suburbs.
