When I moved to Philadelphia, Lindsay Johnston helped me find the perfect house in University City. He was very familiar with the market there and could provide expert advice on when the right house was available and how to make a winning bid. Then, when I sold my house, Lindsay expertly handled finding a buyer, negotiating a deal, and concluding the sale. I highly recommend him!

Lindsay and the Common Ground team were hugely helpful in our home search. They had deep, block-by-block knowledge of the neighborhood; they were both responsive and patient; and most importantly, they were honest. Lindsay was alert to drawbacks of properties, and upfront about the likely repair and maintenance costs that old neighborhood houses would bring. We always felt like he was on our side, acting in our interest -- especially when we came up against some slippery behavior from a seller's agent on the other side of a transaction. Buyers' agents have an incentive to push clients toward quicker decisions and more-expensive offers -- but that was not at all the case with Lindsay. He was an effective advocate for us, and if we ever decided to sell our house, he would be the first person we'd call.

I can't say enough nice things about Lindsay and his team. Since 2017, when we started looking for our first home, Lindsay's expertise and candor have been like a light in the forest. As a buyer's agent, he held my hand through infinite showings, gave me real-talk advice when I needed it, and recommended every good contractor I ever had in Philly (which is an extremely tall order). Several years later, as a seller's agent, he helped us sell that house - and even coached me through some issues that arose in buying our next home out of state. He knows everyone in Philadelphia, and he knows more about West Philadelphia real estate than any of the agents who pay to advertise themselves that way. 10/10 would trust with my life and many, many thousands of my dollars
