Lisa Bortel

Hi I'm Lisa Bortel. I was raised in Phoenix, AZ. with two siblings. As a child, I had aspirations of being a Country Music Singer (lol). OK, maybe not but I didn’t think I'd stumble into the real estate industry, but you can’t always predict where or when you’ll discover what you’re meant to do in life.
I was taught at a young age that if you want something in life, you have to work for it. So that’s what I did. I worked really hard.
As the years went by, I worked my way from helping in my parent’s restaurants at an early age to earning her associate degree in Respiratory Therapy and pursuing a bachelor’s in business and Finance. I wanted to learn as much as I could and become the best version of myself with each career move.
I got into the real estate industry in 1998 when Tunica, MS. was a new exciting place to try real estate. I had always been interested in real estate and business, but timing wasn’t right, and I spent thirty years in the medical field instead. Finally, in 2013 I followed my passion as a Realtor. I set out to get as much education and knowledge in the real estate field as I could, earning my GRI, SRS and ABR. I was always taught knowledge is power and that nobody can take it away. I excel as a Listing agent but enjoy working with my buyers as well, many of my clients remain long lasting friends.
As my career advanced, I found a passion working with First-Time home buyers. I truly enjoy helping and seeing the excitement from my first- Time home buyers. I'm an expert in Land/Lot sales as well as Residential, Commercial and Investment Properties.
Throughout my career, l have earned several accolades, including:
?Graduate Realtor Institute Designation (GRI)
?Seller Representative Specialist Designation (SRS)
?Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR)

And I always keep up to date on the newest education, information and latest trends. It's very important to me to be the best I can be for my clients and I go well beyond the yearly requirements as a Realtor. This industry changes so frequently and my clients pay me to represent their best interests in every aspect of the real estate transaction. I owe it to them to do the best job and provide the best service possible. I try my very best to provide a great experience for my clients throughout their buying and selling process.

I live in Hickman County with my son Kyle and grandson Ashton, two dogs and a pot belly pig named Daisy Mae. In my free time, I enjoy home improvement projects, decorating ideas/repurposing, spending time with family, friends and my animals and riding my Harley Davidson (Wind therapy is a necessity) lol.
