Lisa Gelman

Lisa has over nineteen years of personal real estate and after her last home purchase found she just couldn't stop watching and trending every beat in the market. Lisa has successfully turned her passion for real estate to a full-time career in real estate. She began her career with a small firm and now is pleased to join Douglas Elliman Real Estate; along with the husband, Marc Gelman. Lisa was born and raised in Queens, NY. After her college years she spent several years in New York City where she met her husband, Marc in Central Park. They together spent several years in Forest Hills, Queens as well as, Great Neck, NY. She currently resides in Dix Hills with her husband and 3 girls. Her children attend the Half Hollow School District.

Lisa has a fashion design background and has worked for many family-owned businesses. She worked as a technical designer at SWAK/The Great American Sweater Company for many years overseeing private label manufacturing. She has a very keen eye for detail and quality assurance.
Lisa has been involved with Buckley Country Day Camp located in Roslyn, NY. As a photographer, shooting photos of over 300 smiley happy faces has been her joy. Lisa is extremely family oriented. She loves working with first-time home buyers and families looking to find new homes for their growing families. During her own home search, she researched many towns throughout Nassau and Suffolk County to find the perfect place for her family to call home. She is very in tune what a family needs and matching them with the perfect home and community.

Lisa is involved in the PTA in the Half Hollow Hills school district and currently holds a board position on the PTA Council. Lisa has a BA in Communications from the State University of New York at Buffalo; along with advanced certification in Public Relations and Advertising. She is most recently educated at The American Real Estate School located in Suffolk County.
