We selected Lisa after interviewing a couple real estate agents to list and sell the townhouse. We made the right choice! She listed the property competitively and obtained many offers well over the sale price. And, her insight into buyer financing led to us accepting the highest offer and resulted in a quick sale with no complications! All this even after she supervised contractor work for upgrades, staging, and more! And she was never more than a text or message away, even while on a short vacation! Yes, we knew she'd be on vacation (just a few days) when we hired her. Her reputation, energy, listening skills and professionalism proved she was the right person. We can't say enough good things about Lisa. We recently sold our home while also moving abroad, so we were looking for someone who could be as hands-on as possible while communicating across many, many timezones. Right from the outset, she gave outstanding advice about the work we needed to do to sell at our desired price point, and from there she handled just about everything. She directed renovations, coordinated staging and photos, and even set up a virtual notary so we could close from half a world away. She kept in constant communication so we didn't have to worry about anything. Given all that, unsurprisingly, Lisa was able to get us well over our asking price. Lisa made the emotional process of selling our first home easy, and we couldn't imagine using anyone else.

Lisa Goodfriend helped to make the sale of our home run smoothly. She reviewed our house prior to listing and made suggestions for improvements to help us to get top-dollar. During the renovations, Lisa stopped by several times to check on the progress and to see if we needed any help. When the work was complete, she walked through to see if anything else needed to be addressed. After we moved out, Lisa treated the house as if it were her own. One of the toilets started to leak and Lisa arranged for a plumber to fix the issue. She paid the plumber, for which she was reimbursed at closing. She even swept the front porch before the final walk through. It was certainly a pleasure to work with Lisa!

We can’t say enough good things about Lisa Goodfriend. She is truly exceptional! Lisa put in all the hard work towards making our dream become a reality. We had big asks of her that made everything working out a needle in a haystack scenario. Specifically, we narrowed our needs to one neighborhood with one particular floorplan, and Lisa delivered us the house of our dreams all the while getting us the terms we needed to sell our house during the holiday season. Not only was Lisa able to assist in the domestic purchase and sale of our house in Kingstowne, but she was also able to get a family-owned foreign property in Spain that we had not visited in ten years on the market and sold the first day!

When it comes to real estate agents, Lisa is at the top of her game. She exhibits kindness, patience, knowledge, responsiveness and an attention to detail that is absolutely needed at every step in a real estate transaction. After a terrible purchase experience with our first realtor, we were left believing that all real estate agents were crooks and pointless. I've hired four real estate agents in my lifetime. The competition for best realtor isn't even close. It's Lisa. We were living in California at the time of our home search, and Lisa took care of so many details from Virginia, even showing up for an appointment that we couldn't make. During my visit to Virginia, I had narrowed it down to two homes. One was a townhouse, and the other a SFH. The SFH cost $50K more. Some realtors just want the higher sale--get it over with. Lisa reminded me, however, that the townhouse met more of the criteria that my husband and I had listed when we began our search. This is one realtor who doesn't make you feel like she's just in it for the money. She's in it to help you find the home for you. All along the way, she makes you feel like you're her only client. (You're not!) When the movers were delivering our furniture and couldn't get something past the banister, Lisa knew a handyman who could get right over to us and take it off. She knows locals who can respond to situations you might encounter in your new home. When we recently bought a new home, outside of Virginia, Lisa looked at the listing online and did not hesitate to point out the weaknesses we needed to take into consideration. We ended up buying the house (an old farmhouse that we love!), but we were more aware during the process because Lisa did not hold back on giving us the negatives about a home we were excited about. Working with Lisa has been a pleasure in every way. We were planning a cross-country move from San Diego to the DC area. She set up a great search based on the amenities we wanted in a home, checked in with us frequently to make sure that the search was meeting our needs, and developed a great plan of attack for our house-hunting trip. She cleared her schedule for the entire 5 days we were in town to house-hunt, making it clear that she understood the importance of our time in the area to find a home. She planned a first day based on houses we were most interested in, and a few possibilities she thought might be good considerations. Lisa offered plenty of valuable advice about the homes, schools, and neighborhoods, while allowing us room to make our own decisions based on our taste. Once we chose a home, she helped us work on a reasonable offer based on multiple points of data. She worked very well with the seller’s realtor, and built a great relationship with him in order to ensure a smooth closing. The agencies that Lisa recommended (lender, inspector, title company, etc) were all top-notch, thorough, and timely. After closing, Lisa didn’t just disappear as some agents might, but continued to help us out with our move. We closed about 45 days before we arrived at the home, so she assisted us with several things such as carpet replacement in the mean time. We highly recommend using Lisa Goodfriend as your Realtor!
