Lisa was recommended to me by a long-time, trusted real estate professional. I contacted my friend and asked if she had any suggestions for a realtor that could handle the sale of my home.

I was told that she had a great agent that she could recommend based on working with her for a very long time, and I was assured that she would do a great job, in fact, she told me that she doubted I could find better.

Well ... she was right!

I met Lisa in August 2021 to discuss selling my home in Raspberry Falls. Lisa met me at the house, she came prepared with comparable sales as well as a comprehensive plan to maximize the value of my home and sell it as quickly as possible once the home was listed.

Before I could sell we had to move into our new home and this would not happen until the first week of November. Lisa developed a sales plan that included some furniture staging (once the home was empty) and arranged for professional drone pictures to be taken while the weather was still favorable.

Throughout the process Lisa was always so responsive ... she responded to my emails, calls, or texts right away and went out of her way to make things work as smoothly as possible. I have bought and sold many homes over the years. I think, between purchases and sales I have about 24 real estate transactions, so I have worked with many agents. Lisa and the Sotheby's Team was first class, she was the consummate professional from start to finish, we simply could not have been in better hands.

We had a full-price offer within about 10 days from the day the property was listed. The sales process, from start to finish, was seamless and perfectly managed.

We are very grateful for the excellent work! Lisa and her Sotheby's Team did an amazing job, they made a high-stress situation, stress-free! We sold our home to wonderful buyers, at full price, the closing was on time, and there was not a single hitch along the way!

When my husband and I began to entertain the thought of looking for a new home, we never thought that building our dream home would be the route we would decide to take. We had our eye on a particular neighborhood for some time, but all of the homes that popped up for sale had either been too small for our growing family, or way out of our price range. We wanted a special place, built from our hearts, for our daughters. We started looking casually for a home in October of 2020. During that time we went to several open houses and spoke with several agents. One of those agents we met was Lisa Thompson. We were immediately impressed with her knowledge of the Northern Virginia Area (Second to none) as well as the entire process of selling and buying a home. After a few easy conversations we made the decision to sign with Lisa and looking back, it was the MOST important decision we made in this entire process!

Lisa was extremely knowledgeable about not only the entire process of selling and buying from beginning to end, but also about the neighborhoods we were looking at down to the detail behind the builders and models of homes available. After a couple months of searching and based upon our requirements for a lot, school and home it became clear that what we wanted was not available for resale and so we pivoted to lots. In looking for the available lots for sale we again could not find anything that met our requirements either. Lisa then started searching neighborhoods we liked that met our requirements for lots that were not listed. After compiling a list of potential candidates, Lisa did the impossible and connected us with an owner that was willing to sell. (We would have never known about or found this lot without the diligence, hard work and time Lisa put into supporting our search).

We quickly acquired the lot and subsequently listed our home which sold within 24 hours. We then needed housing quickly and Lisa pivoted to the search for a rental property. In a market where rentals are harder to find than homes for sale, Lisa found us a home that met all of our requirements for the next 12-18 months while our new home was to be built. After securing the rental we then continued our process of selecting a custom builder with the knowledge and ability to create our dream home. Lisa once again helped us choose the right builder that could meet our requirements and we were quickly under contract and working on plans for our custom home.

From casually looking in October to living in a new rental in April with a homesale, lot acquisition and construction contract in between, Lisa was absolutely phenomenal to work with! She was professional every step of the way, extremely responsive, knew the process, the contracts and always kept us well informed. We feel very fortunate that we were able to find Lisa and now happily call her a friend!
