In 2006, I became a licensed Realtor as a 25 year old woman in Sauk City, WI, a small town just outside Madison. I’d recently moved there following my college career at UW Madison and some time working in the Madison area. I was surrounded by seasoned Realtors who’d been born and raised in this small community and had been doing business there for decades. Against all odds, I earned my way into the top 20% of the South Central Wisconsin MLS within my first year and stayed there for the next 5 years.
Due to circumstances in the economy beyond my control, I entered the Health Insurance market and took a brief break from real estate. That career choice led to my being recruited to a prestigious job in Wausau. Having been born and raised in Merrill, WI, this was an excellent opportunity to return to my family and my roots. About a year after living in Wausau, I realized how much passion I had for real estate and how much I missed it. So, in 2016, I re-launched my real estate career with RE/MAX Excel and have never looked back.
