Perhaps it is Luis’s training from his previous career as a teacher, or just his naturally easy-going temperament, but patience is definitely one of his strengths along with honed negotiation skills and a streak of protectiveness toward his clients. “I am a good communicator and believe that communication is the key,” he says. “It is so important that clients be fully-informed every step of the way.
Luis grew up in the East End and attended the Debakey High School for Health Professions. He graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor’s degree in psychology and a minor concentration in Spanish. He pursued a Master’s degree in clinical psychology at Texas A & M and studied Latin American Studies as an exchange student at the Universidad De Vina del Mar in Chile.
