Luke Waddell

Luke is an accomplished entrepreneur and elected official with a strong commitment to self-improvement, professional growth, and public service. He is dedicated to shaping the future of the Cape Fear Region through his leadership and expertise in entrepreneurship, real estate and community development.

As the CEO, Founder, and Principal Broker of Cadence Realty Corp., Luke possesses extensive knowledge and experience in the real estate industry. He has demonstrated his ability to lead and manage a successful business while providing exceptional service to clients.

In addition to his professional achievements, Luke invests time in his community as a Council Member for the City of Wilmington, NC. He is actively involved in key decision-making processes and is dedicated to positively impacting the community through his civic engagement.

Luke is also a respected leader in various community organizations, serving as a Board Member for a litany of organizations such as:

He has held past leadership roles such as Chair of the Candidate Selection Task Force for Cape Fear Realtors from 2019-2020, and Member of the Government Affairs Committee for Cape Fear Realtors from 2018-2021. He has been the Chairman of the Summerall Guard Committee for the NC Azalea Festival since 2016 and was President of the Cape Fear Area Citadel Club from 2013-2021. He is also a graduate of Leadership Wilmington Class of 2014.

Luke holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from The Citadel and is licensed in several professional capacities, including an NC Real Estate Broker's License, NC Broker-in-Charge, and NC General Contractor License. He was recently selected as one of Wilmington’s 40 Under 40 which recognized him as a highly skilled and experienced professional who is well-respected in his industry and community.

Luke lives in a historic home in Wilmington, NC with his wife Amanda, his son Luke Jr. and his Golden Retriever, Moultrie.
