She and her husband Steve are alumni of Brigham Young University, where they met. Their greatest joy has been raising their four children, three of which are grown and in college, and the fourth a teenage daughter. They are active in our faith and have loved volunteering their time in their church community and in the schools. She especially loved using her background in dance and has been able to teach dance and choreograph several high school musicals.
