Maelea Galyon

Maelea Galyon is a longtime resident of Blount County with deep roots in the community. As a retired educator, Maelea has touched the lives of many folks in Blount County. Her love for teaching and learning has continued in her retirement years. She works as an Executive Leadership Coach with Turn It Up Consulting, helping organizational leaders develop collaborative work environments.

Maelea’s love for collaboration is what brought her to LeConte Realty. When her son, Troy Galyon, asked her to get her real estate license and help him with his real estate business, Maelea jumped at the opportunity to collaborate with him and support him with his career. Content to maintain the supportive role, she didn’t really consider actively pursuing real estate as a career until the duo moved to LeConte Realty in the summer of 2023. The collaborative environment at LeConte Realty was all she needed to pull her into the wonderful world of residential real estate.

As part of the The Appalachian Team at LeConte Realty, Maelea is thrilled to work with Troy & Eric Rice to provide comprehensive residential real estate services to folks interested in buying and selling real estate in East Tennessee. The trio is committed to providing exceptional service to all of their clients.

When she isn’t working, Maelea can be found spending time with her family, especially her three fabulous grandchildren, or singing harmony in her cover band, The Backseat Delilahs.
