Maggie Hicks

Rita is originally from Western North Carolina, she moved to Brevard County in 1987 after vacationing here with her family. In 1991 she joined Harbor City Volunteer Ambulance Squad where she volunteered as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). In 1994 she obtained her Paramedic certification. Then in 1999 she obtained her state certification as a Firefighter. Rita currently holds the rank of Lieutenant Firefighter/ Paramedic with Brevard County Fire Rescue. She is also a member of the IAFF local 2969. As a result of her position with the fire department she has a great deal of knowledge of communities within Brevard County.
When Rita is not working at the Fire Department or working in Real Estate she enjoys spending time with family and friends, going to the beach, boating, camping, fishing and when the weather does not allow outdoor activities she enjoys crafting.
