Marcia Simone Taranto is a native New Yorker who has been in the real estate industry for over twenty-five years. Born and bred in Manhattan, Marcia has lived and worked in a constantly evolving city where she has been involved in every aspect of real estate, including co-op/condominium conversions, development, management, and sales. It represented a turning point for Chelsea and the start of West Chelsea's transformation into an art gallery mecca.
Her residential deals are extensive and have occurred primarily in Manhattan from Tribeca to 110th Street. Her breadth of knowledge of the city is unrivaled. On a different note, other than real estate, Marcia's passion is dance. Her B.A. is in English, and her master’s degree is in Theater. Her thesis was “The Emergence of Dance as an Integral Means of Communication in the Theater.” The primary emphasis was on the work of Agnes De Mille and Jerome Robbins. Marcia’s career as a dancer was short lived, but she still to this day takes as much of a daily ballet class as her body allows. She has served on the Board of Directors of the Boca Ballet Theatre and continue to be strongly involved with the arts. Marcia loves what she does.
