In 2009, Marcus moved to the Bay Area, following his brother after college. Born and raised in Birmingham, AL, Marcus attended the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, studying business and marketing. He was introduced to the real estate industry by his father, who was a real estate agent turned mortgage brokerage owner.
Marcus started his career as a homebuyer and project coordinator for HomeVestors of America and developed a love for seeing communities and properties that had seen better days, become cherished again. He is able to continue that work today as an investor and developer with his organization “Revive Group.”
In 2012, he joined the real estate team at Villa Marin Retirement Living Community at 100 Thorndale Dr, San Rafael, CA. Villa Marin is a Continuing Care Retirement Community, where thriving independent-living residents move to and meet new friends, enjoy a wealth of services, such as chef-prepared meals, housekeeping, entertainment and wellness programs.
In 2015, Marcus was chosen by the community to be the leader of the Villa Marin Condo Sales team. Having an office in the community allows him the privilege of working closely with the residents and helping them choose the right home for themselves; it also allows him to stay in touch daily and continue to work with them as they share their wealth of experiences on the committees that oversee Villa Marin.
Marcus sees his "real job" as a devoted husband and father to his wife and their son. He also enjoys cooking cuisines of various cultures, traveling with his wife, cultural theater, movies, and, of course, he has a love of all sports. You can usually find him on his preferred method of transportation... skateboarding around the Bay Area.
