We used Marge Crimmons for both the sale and purchase transactions. We originally engaged Marge well before we were ready to sell and she helped us to understand the process, timing, and what to expect. On the sale side, she gave us great advice on how to stage our apartment. She is very in tune to the local market and priced our property right. In the end, we did one open house, received multiple bids and accepted an offer 10% above asking. As with any transaction, there are always complications and Marge was there with us every step of the way. She provided very honest, accurate guidance. It was clear that our best interests were at hand, even when the decision could negatively impact her.

She also helped us on the buy side - not as easy in a seller's market. She helped us craft some unique offers and in the end, we got the home we wanted. She was very good at working with the other realtors and ensuring that our offers were still in the mix and competitive.

We also have to note that Marge (and her partner Desiree) were amazing with our children (girls 4 & 7). She made quite an impression on them and they regularly referred to her as Super Marge. She's a wonderful person and she made the process fun - definitely more laughs than stress.

We've recommendedMarge to our friends and would highly recommend her to you as well.

As an aside, we also used Sandra Rizzo as our attorney on both transactions. Marge and Sandra worked very well together and were always in-sync. This made both transactions much easier and less stressful.

We have worked with Marge for over 9 months to buy a condo in Jersey City. We originally chose her by looking at online reviews for realtors in the area and noticed that she received very positive ones. Our expectations were low since we have dealt with several realtors in the past whom we had the sense were simply trying to make a commission rather than caring about what would work best for their client. Marge exceeded our expectations by showing us multiple condos and giving her honest opinions on each one. She patiently put up with our indecisiveness (as first time homebuyers we were very intimidated by the prospect of finally purchasing a place) and when we finally chose a short sale condo she guided us through the complicated process. Also, as first time homebuyers, we bombarded her with questions constantly, and she always promptly responded to us whether by phone or e-mail. I give my highest endorsement to Marge and would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking to purchase a home in the Jersey city/hoboken area.

My wife found Marge online. We had our eye on a condo which we toured with Marge, but it was priced too high, as with many other properties in 2009/2010. We felt Marge to be warm, knowledgeable and accessible. As a result, we toured other properties, but with no luck. We kept our eye on the unit that we liked and the price started to come down. Once we felt it was one the market a sufficient amount of time and that the housing market was still deteriorating, we reasoned that it might be wise to negotiate with the owner, bid, negotiate, inspect and sign a contract. Sounds normal. Well that's where the normal attended, and the twilight zone started. Once we signed the contract, it was determined that that our condo was a short sale,---a concept that I had vaguely heard about, yet a term that has become commonplace during the credit crisis, housing crisis decade. If you Google short sale, then you will learn that it takes a long time, 3 months to get approval from the banks in unrealistic-- you are now negotiating with a bank, maybe two, and maybe three (I will come back to this one), who is now the counterparty and not the Seller (it took us 11 months+, during this period our advisors encouraged us to consider a Plan B, because there is nothing normal about a short sale. We even had to work with and depend on an incompetent Seller's attorney, until he was fired and replaced by a second attorney...it takes a good and smart attorney to deal with a short sale and to deal with the banks. This is a the short version of the story because as I said it took 11 months+ to close and get the keys and enter our new home that we own. Believe me, surprises that we experienced, the twists and turns that we faced, and the challenges that we had to deal with from beginning to the very, very end (meaning the door man would not let us in the unit, even after we closed!), and ever at closing at 6:00pm on Monday night, after 3 hours, somewhere in New Jersey near the private Teterboro airport, we learned that the mortgage had been assigned to a third bank...phone calls, faxes, jokes, blood pressures, etc...where all on display in our attorney's office. Guess who was sitting right next to us at closing, and who dealt with the first Selles attorney, the second attorney, our attorney, us, and condo manager, the banks....Marge. Marge as there, accessible, knowlegeable and warm...she gave us a gift at closing, wrapped and delivered in a Bloomindale's bag...she even called the doorman after we closed, and could get in, and said somethings to him that made me proud...I of course had to side with the doorman, but I was proud to know that Marge sided with us til the end.
