I have worked with first time home buyers seniors people moving to upgrade (or downsize). Everyone has a checklist to finding the right home for them so we look until we find it. I don't pressure, we take our time if needed until they walk into a home and say "this is it". Our senior community has different needs and having worked in a long term care community for awhile I understand the different search criteria needed for them; no stairs one level, condo, ranch style, maybe into independent or assisted living.
First time home buyers prefer step by step guidance so they too get a checklist.
So starting off, getting to know each other is most important and how we are going to communicate through the process. Then we decide the path we are going to take and make a plan to get there. Every client every home has a story to tell. Listening is most important.
