About Margo

As a professional Realtor and Property Manager, I epitomize integrity, energy, hard work, and creativity in every detail of the service I provide to my clients. Born and raised in Washington, DC, I began investing in real estate in 1987 with the purchase of my first home and have since continued to acquire properties for investment. I earned my Real Estate License in 2004 and have worked across every aspect of the industry, representing sellers, buyers, investors, and banks in both residential and commercial real estate transactions. I am currently licensed in Maryland and Washington, DC and a Member of the National Association of Realtors, The Prince Georges County Women’s Council of Realtors and Prince George’s County Association of Realtors.
With 20 years of experience in real estate, my expertise spans investing, rehabbing, and working with buyers, sellers, landlords, and tenants. I am well-versed in lead generation, property management, marketing, development, real estate law and negotiating. I have developed, owned, leased, and managed multi-unit and commercial properties, providing safe, decent, and affordable housing and venues for low- to middle-income families and business owners. Additionally, I have assisted state and local housing programs in matching tenants and buyers with suitable properties and provided property management or buyer agency services, along with the training, to empower families and individuals. My training helps individuals understand credit, develop good financial habits, identify poor habits, and create and manage budgets and financial plans.
In addition to my real estate experience, I have 32 years of experience in developing and executing IT strategies for large, geographically dispersed organizations, supporting 50,000 to 150,000 technology clients and millions of consumers, with operating budgets ranging from $50 million to $ Billons of dollars in IT Hardware, Software and Equipment. I have a proven track record in the financial, real estate, health care, and information technology industries, where political refinement, business acumen, and high levels of collaboration are essential to achieving collective goals. My expertise includes extracting technology requirements from stakeholders, presenting alternatives and costs, conducting cost-benefit analyses, advising on long-term implications, building consensus around strategies, and delivering solutions. I have also designed, managed, and directed call/contact centers, built strong management and technical teams, and hired individuals who are capable and share the organizational mission and vision. I have empowered team leaders to make decisions with accountability, driving IT to achieve operational excellence and deliver world-class technology and customer service.
I attended the University of Maryland in College Park and studied Business Administration. I am a Graduate of the Real Estate Institute and have been certified in the following areas: Short Sale & Foreclosure Specialist, Freddie Mac Credit Smart Trainer, Staging Consultant, Renovation Specialist, Certified R.E. Probate Specialist, and a Notary.
In my personal life, I enjoy spending time with family and friends and meeting new people. I am passionate about mentoring youth and young adults and have volunteered in various capacities, including the Juvenile detention centers and a CASA representative for foster care children in court. I have also volunteered with CARES Mentoring Circle and other non-profit organizations such as Habitat for Humanity and The United Way.

In 1961, my parents purchased a house and spent the next 62 years, turning that house into a home. The decision to sell our home, was difficult and full of mixed emotions.
After our first conversation with Margo, she was reassuring, positive and calming.
Through the entire process, Margo was honest, professional and always available too answer any questions. We found her knowledge of the process and market, second to none. Margo was raised and lives here in our community, so her knowledge of each of our local communities, is unequaled.
Margo had the home under contract in 17 days and we settled 3 weeks later, over listing price! Our family was ecstatic!

This was my first homebuying experience, and I’m so glad I had Margo in my corner…Very knowledgeable with my housing market and the process for purchasing. Margo was connected enough through each step to be personable, but also left space for me to make my own decisions or just simply ask, if I was unsure about something in my process. Margo was highly recommended to us. She was extremely knowlegeable about the selling of property in the District of Columbia. She was great in determining the market value of our property, the listing and presentation. Her skills and understaning of the market allowed us to sell our property above the list price within. We received offers within 24 hours of listing and had a signed contract shortly thereafter. Margo was very responsive, provided excellent guidance and was very professional.
