Hi, I’m Mari Van Meter — Helping NW Suburban Chicago homeowners navigate life transitions with clarity and care.
Real estate is more than a transaction — it’s a major life moment. Whether you’re upsizing, downsizing, relocating, or navigating a big change, I’m here to guide you through every step with honesty, calm, and a clear plan.
I work with thoughtful movers across Chicago’s Northwest Suburbs, especially Arlington Heights, Buffalo Grove, Palatine, Wheeling, and neighboring communities. My goal is to protect your equity, make the process feel manageable, and help you move forward confidently.
For Sellers
Selling a home requires strategy, not guesswork. I combine smart pricing, polished marketing, and strong negotiation skills to position your home for the best possible result. With my Sellers’ Six-Point Satisfaction Guarantee, you’ll always know what’s happening and what comes next.
For Buyers
Your next chapter should feel exciting, not overwhelming. I offer personalized searches, clear communication, and steady advocacy from start to finish. My “Love Your Home” Guarantee adds peace of mind during your first year in your new home.
Professional Expertise
I hold advanced designations including ABR®, SRES®, and CNE, and earned the National Association of Realtors’ C2EX endorsement. I’m grateful to be recognized as a Top 10 Real Estate Agent in Illinois and a Best in Real Estate Award recipient for both 2024 and 2025.
Rooted in Community
I’ve called Arlington Heights home since 2014, and community connection shapes everything I do. I serve as a trustee and Welcome Committee Chair for the Northgate Civic Association, President of the Wheeling Township AmSpirit Business Connections chapter, and a member of the Mainstreet REALTORS® Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee.
I’m also deeply involved with my Unitarian Universalist church in Palatine, where I support social justice, community care, and volunteer initiatives that uplift local families and organizations. Giving back is woven into both my life and my business.
A Bit About Me
When I’m not working with clients, you’ll often find me teaching creative movement and belly dance, exploring local restaurants with my daughter, walking Buddy and Holly (our two black labs), or discovering hidden gems in the NW suburbs with my husband, Ed.
If you’re planning a move — now or sometime down the road — I’d love to hear your story and help you take your next step with confidence.
