Marian Goetzinger

Marian grew up in North Alabama and Middle Tennessee as one of ten children. She is proud to say she is a true Appalachian girl. She attended high school in McMinnville, Tennessee, where playing basketball and running were her passions. She finished high school as Salutatorian and earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology with minors in Creative Writing and Social Work at Jacksonville State University in Alabama. The next several years Marian worked as an advocate for battered women and children. In 1992 Marian moved to the Crystal Coast and worked with the domestic violence program here, before becoming a real estate professional in 1996.

Marian has specialized in Crystal Coast properties since the first day of her real estate career. In 1998, a champion of small local businesses, she founded Pine Knoll Shores Realty, LLC where, in addition to working with buyers and sellers, she serves as owner and Broker in Charge. Mentoring other REALTORS® is one of the favorite parts of her job. She says new agents always bring new excitement, energy, and ideas.

Today Marian’s passion is her faith, her family, and her community. She serves as a lay minister and Youth Director of her church, St. Francis by the Sea Episcopal Church and stays busy following the sports activities at West Carteret High School where her grandsons attend school and play football, soccer, and tennis. Marian’s two daughters, Meredith and Amy are her pride and joy. While Marian, her husband, and her youth group are involved in many charitable activities in the area, she spends most of her volunteer time, after the youth group, working on the annual Kayak for Warriors event in Pine Knoll Shores.

Marian admits she has always been a tomboy, preferring the company of her five brothers to helping her mom and sisters with housework and “girly” things. Marian adores her husband, Ted, and not just because he does the cooking. She prefers being outside. She is an avid gardener, walker, and biker. She enjoys kayaking and walking with her two Jack Russell Terriers, Kirby, and Chloe.
