Like one of my forefathers before me, I came to Oregon on a quest for a new life. Though they arrived in covered wagons, our set-up was a Dodge Ram Truck with utility trailer, and a Jeep Liberty (close enough, right?). We knew no one, didn’t know the lay of the land, didn’t know what any place had to offer over any other. Oregon was a new frontier for us.

Then we met Marianne. From day one she was a breath of fresh air. She was enthusiastic and ready to go anywhere to show us properties. We had a list of “favorites” already, but she was able to connect us with resources that showed us more houses, more tailored to what we were looking for in our new home.

She worked very hard showing us houses day after day. All the while remaining cheerful, enthusiastic, and positive. She dug into details, asked questions, and was able to give us more information than “just the listing info”. Her attention to detail became vitally important when we found the house we wanted. She left no stone unturned and followed up on loose ends in a way that all professionals should, but few actually do. If we had questions, she got the answers quickly.

She was a professional from the first minute and continued to be throughout our entire search and buying processes. She was a valuable source when it came to getting inspections and poured through the reports with a fine-toothed comb making SURE we understood everything they revealed.

She was very good at presenting options and giving us space to let us make our own choices. Never once did we feel that she was rushing us through the process.

What comes across most with Marianne is that she cares. In this world where so many professionals pretend to care about their clients and only focus on the finish line (and the check they will get), Marianne really looks out for her clients, their best interests and future happiness. It doesn’t stop on closing day. She has continued to check in with us to see how we’re doing in our new home.

It wasn’t all for dramatic affect when I started off with mentioning my forefather. It turns out that I am related by blood to the founder of the town we live in now (established in 1845), and the name of our street reflects the name of one of his sons-in-law. It really seems this was meant to be, living on property once owned by an ancestor.

The bigger question is: Would I refer Marianne to others looking to buy a home? The answer would be a resounding YES, absolutely. In fact, I already have. These are friends I “left behind” that aren’t happy, it’s up to them to make the same plunge I did and just make the move. I know they’ll be in good hands working with Marianne.

Knowledgeable, resourceful, detail-oriented, fast to respond, pleasant to work with, and just an all-around really nice person, if you are looking for a reliable and trustworthy agent…..Marianne is for you. Call her! Call her now!
