Marie helped us sell one home and Marie was our realtor who helped us buy another home. Two years later we sold that home to build a larger home and we chose Marie again two sell our home and be our realtor who found us a lot and helped us start the building process. My husband and I used Marie as our agent when we bought and again when we sold. We were first timer buyers so we had only a basic knowledge of how the process worked. When we first began looking we had not yet been pre-approved, but that wasn't an issue with Marie. She took us to look out the houses we were interested in. No questions asked. From our very first interaction, we felt comfortable with her. She was extremely personable and spoke with us as though she had known us for years. Again, let me say, we had very little knowledge. When it came time for approval we didn't know where to begin. Marie put us in contact with a Mortgage company that turned out to be just as helpful and cooperative. Unfortunately, the loan amount we got approved for at that time wasn't very substantial, so we needed to consolidate a few loans/lines of credit and balance out our debt to income ratio. This ended up taking a couple of months. Marie gave us the time without being pushy or incessantly checking in on us, but also never waited so long to contact us that we felt like she had forgotten about us. How she knew just when to call, I do not know. It must be a super power. When we finally got approved for a reasonable amount, Marie was right there ready to dive in. She was able to show us houses quickly, sometimes, same day and always had a quick response time. When we actually viewed homes, we never felt like she was trying to sway our opinion just so she could get a quick sale. In fact, she would bring up things for us to consider when we made our list of pros and cons for each place. We felt like she was truly invested in helping us find a place we could love. During the negotiating process, she never made us feel silly for needing every step explained. She was very thorough with us. So when we countered or agreed with terms, we knew what we were getting into. She made us feel like we were in such good hands that we trusted her completely when she suggested a direction for us to go. She was incredibly informative on what loans would require what inspections and prerequisites and when it came time for those inspections she took care of setting up appointments and seeing them through. The same can be said when we sold our home. We had a very tight budget and had to get a very precise amount to be able to sell. Marie had the patience of a saint and worked her fingers to the bone crunching numbers and conveying our terms to all potential buyers. Never once through all of it did she greet us with anything less than her most friendly voice and her biggest excited to be seeing you smile. If a realtor knowledgeable in her field, with southern hospitality and charming wit, who is both professional and makes you feel like family is someone you might be interested in working with, then we suggest Mrs. Marie.
