Marie came highly recommended by a friend when we were looking to purchase a home in the Boston area. When it came time to sell, she was, again, a huge help especially since we were overseas at the time when our condo was being marketed and sold. Marie Presti went so far above and beyond what we had expected. To market our home she provided an online 3-D tour of our home along with an eight page, full color book of what the home had to offer to every person who came to look at it. She presented a target market of single females and we had four offers all from single females! Marie made the stressful process easy for us. She facilitated the upgrading of the property, readying it for sale, including arranging for contractors and stagers. She went above and beyond by making many trips to stores to purchase (and return) items for the upgrades, and she invested many hours of her time in making sure that all the details were covered. Marie's stellar negotiating skills enabled us to receive a sale price significantly above the listing price. We received four offers a few days after the open house! I want to echo the review from Scott H. My wife and I sold our house about 10 days ago with Marie's help. It was a great experience and she did a great job. We could not be happier. Originally, I wasn't sold on the idea of using a real estate agent. I was considering selling the house myself. A friend recommended Marie and she came up and met with us for about two hours. We were impressed and decided to hire her. She did a great job of balancing our input with her expertise. Marie hadn't sold a house in our neighborhood before and was very open to what we had to say. She also was honest about how she saw our house. In the end, we listed the house for an aggressive price and got the full asking price. We not only had one offer at full price but we had a backup offer also at full price if the first one fell through. You couldn't ask for more. One of the great things that she did was bring in a team of home stagers to give us guidance on how to prepare the house for sale. We ended up doing everything they suggested and it was worth it. It was a bunch of work getting the house ready to be shown, we had to pack a bunch of stuff and move some furniture around, but it resulted in us getting the price we wanted and selling the house in ten days. She also brought in a professional photographer to take pictures. This wasn't the easiest thing to do since we were taking pictures in February of 2015 and there was about 5 feet of snow on the ground. The pictures did a great job of showcasing the house. Not to sing her praises even more, but she also did a great job of negotiating. The buyer's real estate agent was a bit of a challenge to work with, but Marie represented our interests firmly but politely and in the end, everything went very well. To wrap this up, I would highly recommend Marie if you are selling (or buying) a house in the Boston area. She is very professional, friendly and responsive. We could not be happier. Chris M. A friend recommended Marie to me when I was looking to purchase my first home. Marie put me at ease during our initial meeting and shortly thereafter I bit the bullet and began my search. At first, I was a little uncertain on exactly what I wanted and was vacillating between a single-family home versus a townhouse. During this phase of my own uncertainty Marie was very patient and told me to look at what appealed to me within my price range so that is what I did. Shortly after I began searching my company unexpectedly issued across the board pay cuts, which made me nervous about what would happen next with my job. This resulted in my decision to take a temporary break while things settled. During this time I became very clear on what I wanted in a home and once I was confident in my work situation I resumed my search, spurred on when I saw a home that came on the market with everything I was looking for. Marie was quick to respond to my sudden change of direction and ended up helping me get a home that met all of my criteria. Marie made herself available to me during the negotiation process, home inspection and closing – she was present for all of these stages and very supportive recognizing this as a stressful time (particularly for a first time buyer). She also recommended excellent people for me to work with including attorney, mortgage broker and home inspector. She provided exceptional support and follow-through that left me feeling impressed by her work ethic and commitment to me as her client. Marie Presti was a huge help with our home purchase! As first time home buyers and newlyweds, my husband and I were in a bit a of time crunch to find a home that we loved. Our goal was to find something that we could see ourselves staying in long term as opposed to a starter home. She helped us to understand the process we would be going through, step by step. She was in constant contact, giving us updates on open houses, making schedules of properties for us to visit, and simply checking in with us to make sure we weren't too overwhelmed. Marie did very detailed research to make sure each location lived up to our expectations. She was incredibly professional, but also made us feel like we were friends which made the whole process so much easier. She was very personable and both my husband and I enjoyed spending time with her. Marie hit the nail on the head with our purchase. After a lot of almosts, she sent us to one last open house for the weekend, and we fell in love. She was on top of everything and immediately got in contact with the sellers. My husband and I were beyond impressed with the attention to detail and the efficiency Marie showed with the buying process. She really made us feel like we were her only clients. The day of our closing, she was just as happy as we were and shared in our excitement for the day! Marie was also our selling agent for the home we were living in. She was able to pull together 2 open houses and over 50 groups of people to look at the house in less than 3 days. It was incredible. Her knowledge of what people were looking for and the demographics that would be interested in our area was amazing. She knew just what to do to make the house stand out to each group of interested people. It meant a lot to have someone we felt was in our corner during what could be (and some times was) the most stressful time in our lives. I would recommend Marie Presti to ANYONE who is looking to buy or sell a home. Especially to people who are looking for that personal touch.
