Marisa got into real estate to try something new and stayed in real estate to effect change in the industry. With a background of many years working in behavioral health, she sees the world through a lens of wellbeing. When she started out in real estate, she saw first-time home buyers get ushered into offers without the proper education or guidance. Marisa met soon-to-be-clients at open houses who were house hunting but were not familiarized with the contract, nor the contingencies in it that protected them, nor how to utilize their resources and position to write winning offers. She has since become enthusiastic about providing this education and guidance to her clients and does frequently still work with first-time home buyers even as her clientele has broadened to include all kinds of buyers and sellers over the years. It is important to her to play a more thorough role as a realtor, shifting the energy from being sales-focused to being people-focused. Believing that people come far before commissions, her business and she inevitably grew alongside her clients, and she has come to mentor new agents to do the same. Over the years, Marisa has refined her approach to her work: she integrates a mindful, heart-centered perspective with strong, grounded, and realistic expertise to deliver her clients with the best service and support she can offer. Marisa holds space at every part of the process as a professional educator, negotiator, advocate, and guide. Her most recent growth both professionally and personally has been in cultivating her ability to tap into her internal magic to help others navigate their way and tap into their own.
