Mark Baumgarten

From West Berlin, Germany, Mark Baumgarten holds a degree from the Real Estate Academy at the renowned University of Freiburg, awarded the “Diplom-Sachverständiger (DIA) für die Bewertung bebauter und unbebauter Grundstücke” (Degree in the Appraisal for Developed and Undeveloped Propeyt”). Holders of this degree have the knowledge to appraise all types of properties, commercial and residential.Mark additionally holds a degree in Social Education from The University of Applied Sciences in Berlin. Mark began his successful career in Hamburg, Germany in 1996. He then launched his own real estate brokerage firm and property development firm in 1999. Both enterprises were a great success and the brokerage firm was awarded with a Certificate of Quality by the Real Estate Association of Germany (IVD). In addition, he worked as an independent certified real estate appraiser.

Having vacationed in South Florida for many years and after investing in real estate in Sarasota, Mark ultimately made the decision to reside and work here as well. He is married to Sandra Appignani, who is also his business partner and a sales associate at Premier Sotheby’s International Realty. Sandra herself has over two decades of real estate experience.

Mark maintains his real estate connections in Germany through personal business and his real estate network.
