Mark was born and raised in Queens, NY and then moved to Titusville, FL, when his dad was called on to fulfill one of his dreams by working for NASA. After he completed high school, Mark moved to Gainesville to further his education at the University of Florida. Mark earned his Bachelors of Science degree in Journalism with a business minor and his Master's of Arts degree in Mass Communications with a specialization in Public Relations. After graduating from UF, Mark moved to Orlando, FL and began working for US Airways Vacations as the Internet Marketing Manager. Mark liked the Orlando area and his job, but his love for North Florida and the Gainesville community brought him back after being away for a few years. Mark moved back to Gainesville and began working for the University of Florida Athletic Association and spent the next 16 years there working in several roles, most recently overseeing all ticket sales and operations for athletic events. Mark enjoyed every day of his professional career at the UAA and working there has not only taught him how to effectively help customers with their questions but has also taught him how to work with a high level of integrity, honesty, and passion. After the birth of his daughter and working countless hours around the clock in athletics, life took on a new perspective and Mark decided to tap into another love of his and obtain his real estate license. Mark has been involved in investing since a young age and he has spent his entire career in customer service, marketing, and sales roles, so combining these things in his life was apparent to him. Mark knows the level of commitment it takes to work hard to make the customer's experience special and this is why he loves working every day at Pepine Realty.
Mark’s wife and best friend, Lauren, works as the Marketing Coordinator of Pediatrics for UF Health, and they have one energetic and beautiful daughter, Allie, who keeps them on their toes each and every day. Mark and his family love to travel, spend time with family and friends, and support their favorite sports teams. Mark is active in his community, having served as a Board Member and Chairman of the Board for the North Central Florida American Red Cross, as well as devoting his time to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Team in Training. Mark is an avid runner, having completed ten marathons, he loves the outdoors, and more than anything he wakes up every day hoping to make some kind of positive impact in this world. Mark’s parents raised him to believe that he should always strive to help, care for, and treat people with the utmost respect, just as he expects to be treated. Mark has now lived in Gainesville for over 20 years and has great knowledge of the area.
