Mark Hamsher

Mark was raised in the very small town of Perkinsville, New York, where there was no stop light, no McDonald’s and certainly no beach. There was a lot of snow but not a lot of sun! After spending 2 years in college at SUNY Cortland, he had enough of walking to class in the cold and snow and made the dramatic decision to transfer to the University of South Florida. He finally found his comfort zone in what he now knows as Paradise. After graduating with a B.S. in Education at USF, he spent several years teaching and coaching basketball. In October 2000, Crystal and he married. Shortly after, he entertained a career change into the world of real estate. This is what brought them from Tampa to Southwest Florida. He spent the next 16 years building homes as a builder and partner with Hamsher Homes Inc. While with Hamsher Homes, he built over 500 custom homes. His clientele existed of 1st time home buyers, investors, multi-million-dollar homeowners and retirees. He bought and sold hundreds of properties in addition to becoming an expert in the building process. New construction, selling and listing properties, and staging homes are his niche. Mark has three daughters, Lianna, Lyndsey and Lacy, all adopted from China. He has literally traveled the world, having been to China twice. It is a beautiful place, but there is no place like Southwest Florida! He loves all the outdoor activities, and he loves time on the water. He enjoys fishing the back-country shallow waters of Charlotte Harbor and the Myakka River. Their family devotes their personal time to South Biscayne Church where Crystal and he have been members since 2003.
