Mark Machado’s focus as a real estate agent is his clients. His goal is to make every client feel comfortable and secure and to ensure they understand every nuance of their real estate transaction. He knows that communication is the key to achieving this goal, so he maintains consistent contact and takes care of every detail, from preparing homes to facilitating negotiations.

He does this because he understands the importance of real estate. Mark is the child of immigrants who worked hard to ensure he didn’t miss out as he was growing up. When he had his own children, he wanted to leave them with a legacy. This meant building wealth, and Mark knows one of the best ways to do that is through property. Now he helps other people find security by buying their dream homes.

Mark is native to the Bay Area and has lived in Marin County since 1984. He knows the local market and can help buyers find the right community, whether they’re focused on affordability, schools, outdoor space, or options for multigenerational living. He also knows how to help sellers prepare their home for sale to maximize its potential, so they can concentrate on achieving their next goals. Whether that’s a first or luxury home, Mark leads clients with ease.

Since entering the industry in 2004, Mark has received numerous awards and recognitions. In 2018, he was president of the Marin Association of Realtors®, and he was a director for the California Association of Realtors® from 2017 through 2020. His excellent reputation means he’s welcome in many networking groups, which gives his clients access to numerous trusted professionals who can offer additional assistance to their real estate journey.

Before becoming a real estate agent, Mark worked in marketing in the food and wine industry. That experience taught him to approach each sale with empathy. He knows that caring about his clients’ wants and needs is the most important aspect of any real estate deal, and he always acts to create, build, and deepen relationships with them as well as colleagues and other real estate professionals.

Mark lives in San Rafael, California, with his wife, Linda. He’s been a commissioner with the city of San Rafael Parks and Recreation Department since 2011, helping improve the community where he lives and works. In his free time, Mark enjoys running on Mount Tamalpais and competing in CrossFit.
