About Mark

Mark McCloskey moved to Arizona in 1992 and has lived here ever since. He loves everything about desert living. He was originally enthralled by it as a stark contrast to growing up in the green hills of Connecticut from the moment he arrived. The architecture is second to none, particularly as homes are juxtaposed with the beauty of the desert. He feels fortunate to live here. It’s a place of unbelievable vistas, terrific weather, a robust economy, very few natural disasters, and a fantastic mix of people from all over the country who embrace the cosmopolitan lifestyle Phoenix has to offer at a very affordable price.

Mark's experience in real estate spans 17+ years now. He has enjoyed a couple of stints selling new homes - mostly multi-family living in Scottsdale and Phoenix. Predominantly, however, he has done re-sale and is fortunate to have developed a strong client base which is almost exclusively referral now. Mark's main focus is on Phoenix, Scottsdale, and Paradise Valley. But he will gladly work across the valley, it’s one of his favorite parts of the job - there are always new neighborhoods to discover and explore because the city is ever-expanding. First-time home buyers are probably Mark's favorite demographic because the sheer joy of homeownership is unlike almost anything else.

The main thing Mark tries to bring to the table is reasonableness. This is a mantra that he tries to impart to all of his clients because when both buyer and seller are reasonable, it is easiest to negotiate, find a middle ground, and thereby close. Mark's knowledge of sub-markets is strong, especially in the northeast valley where he does most of his work. He has a background in law and uses that to protect clients’ interests at all times. Mark brings a wealth of experience with construction after having done new builds and personal work on numerous homes over the years either as flips or to live in personally. Finally, you will find that he exhibits patience and understanding with his clients who can, understandably, possess strong emotions when it comes to buying or selling a house.
