Mark Powell

Mark Powell is a proven leader in both real estate and education, with a career defined by service, achievement, and integrity. As Co-Founder and Owner of Discovery Property Group, Inc., he has built a respected independent brokerage in San Diego while earning top industry honors, including being named the 2014 REALTOR® of the Year and a Five Star Real Estate Agent Professional for 14 consecutive years, a distinction earned by fewer than 5% of agents. His extensive leadership includes serving as Vice President of the San Diego Association of Realtors, chairing the California Association of Realtors’ Educational Services Advisory Committee, and actively contributing to influential committees and boards. Beyond real estate, Powell has devoted 25 years to education as a classroom teacher, vice principal, and dean of students, later representing more than 650,000 constituents on the San Diego County Board of Education, where he championed student success and school safety.
