Buying my first home was such a scary prospect, and I needed someone I could trust to prioritize my best interests. Marshall is completely trustworthy. He worked very patiently with me for almost two years until I found exactly the house I wanted. While he always took my opinions and thoughts seriously, he also made sure that I thought through and understood real estate from an experienced realtor’s perspective, even if it meant that all his time and work setting up a purchase would be lost. And he never made me feel anything other than comfortable taking my time.

It has been two years since he helped me buy my home and he still checks in for anything I might need. And anytime I need any recommendations for services, Marshall comes through with folks as trustworthy as him.

I've found one of the most important is TRUST. As in all such transactions, there are always obstacles big and small, and Marshall handles all of them as the quintessential professional he is. Marshall is by far the best agent in Virginia. I wish I could give him more than 5 stars. My husband and I have never sold a home before so we had no clue how to go about it. Not only that but we had a very tight window to sell, we were moving to another state, we had a 9 month old, a dog and I worked from home. We needed a lot of coordination with all the moving parts, a ton of communication and expert knowledge. Marshall is so calm, honest, trustworthy and truly goes above and beyond for his clients. He is also quick to respond to you and you can feel that he will always have your best interest in mind at every step in the process. He loves what he does and it shows in his dedication to his clients. Buying and selling is some of the most stressful times in your life and we were blessed to have Marshall on our side. This must be your Realtor!! I cold called Marshall from a review I found on Zilliow. I am military and was moving from Memphis, TN to the Hampton Roads area. On the first call he answered and made me feel like a priority! He took the time to build rapport with my wife and children while trying to make sense of our rambling ideas on what features we were interested in for our home. His personalized method of communication was refreshing and I can attest that he was always available to talk and never let a day or night go by with me wondering about what transpired with a property, offer, or lead. Marshall looked at quite a few houses on the drop of the hat for us, sending great HD videos and chats on property, tried to negotiate great offers to fit our needs, and quickly landed us a lead that matched our moving timeframe and housing needs. It was a new construction we previously hadn’t know about through normal online research. It was a leap of faith spending north of 400k sight un-seen but I had to trust someone and Marshall certainly earned that! After contracting, his work didn’t stop there! He would send us videos of the construction progress out of the blue, drop by and speak with the builder on progress on our behalf, and even negotiated an extra finished room on our behalf that the sellers agent and builder didn’t agree should have been finished per the plans easily adding thousands of equity over homes in the project just by remaining persistent on our behalf! When it came time for our inspection walkthrough…Marshall made sure we were represented and used his years of experience to call out the builder for every fault my inexperienced eyes missed! He will be the only one I look to when it’s time to sell my house and he’s the only Agent I’d recommend in the Williamsburg, Hampton Roads region! Dedication and professionalism is well represented with Marshall Toney!

Marshall worked with us to sell and buy a house at the same time. He is extremely professional, knowledgeable, and personable.
