Committed to her community, Martha is an active member of the Service Club of Manatee County, a life member of Entre Nous, chaired the silver anniversary of the Entre Nous Holiday Tour of Homes and served on the board of directors of the Pace Center for Girls. She is also a founding member of the Women's Resource Center of Manatee and applied for its 501C3 nonprofit status. Along with her husband, Jerry, she is a supporter of Young Life of Manatee County.

Originally from western New York, Martha graduated from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York where she studied architectural history and art history. She spends her free time by beautifying her home and by studying interiors, art and antiques. She enjoys the great outdoors and beautiful flowers and plants.
