About Martha
After weekending in the Berkshires for more than 25 years, Martha Piper moved permanently to Berkshire County in 2001. As a former Wall Street executive, she found her niche here as a practicing broker in real estate in the Berkshires for the last 17 years. As a full time agent that puts clients first, she is a consistent leader in sales.
As a testament to her South Carolinian heritage, she has become a crucial part of the Berkshire community. A longtime member of the Egremont Conservation Commission, she believes strongly in the preservation our natural landscape. An avid gardener, she is on the Board of the Berkshire Botanical Garden. She was also a member of the Board and Executive Committee of the acclaimed Barrington Stage Company where she served as Secretary of the Board and Chairman of the Real Estate/Facilities Committee. After graduating from Hollins College in Virginia as a psychology major and economics minor, she attended the Stern School of Business at New York University. Martha has both her Broker's license and her Certified Buyer's Representative credentials in MA as well as her NY Broker's license. She is a Certified Negotiations Expert (CNE), a license held by fewer than one percent of Realtors nationally. She has also served on the Board of the Berkshires Board of Realtors. When not attending to the needs of her clients, Martha spends time gardening, golfing, and enjoying her shaggy Bearded Collie and her crazy cat at the home she built in Mt. Washington.
Martha enjoys a reputation for tenaciously working in her clients' best interest. Her expertise in negotiations joins with uncompromising integrity as a hallmark of her business. Thanks to an exceptionally loyal clientele Martha enjoys repeat business, and many personal referrals. She has built an extensive network of past clients and has an impressive portfolio of notable sold homes. To ensure ethical, efficient and complete service, she offers seamless assistance to clients in every aspect of their purchase or sale.
