Mary Ellen Vanaken was born and raised in Long Island, New York. With a degree in accounting and finance, she spent many years on Wall Street. Today, you will find Mary Ellen and her family working, living, and playing in the Alpharetta area of North Atlanta.

Mary Ellen and her husband love to travel but when they are home you will find them either on the tennis courts or working in their ever-expanding garden. Some say their house is like a small zoo. The Vanaken's golden retriever, named Lucky, loves to greet everyone who comes to visit. The rest of the zoo consists of two African Grey Parrots named Jack and Jill who speak English and some Dutch!
