Buckhead is a district that covers most of Atlanta’s northside neighborhoods. This sprawling community makes up about a fifth of Atlanta’s land area and has a population of over 78,000. Buckhead is one of the major commercial and financial centers in the Southeast. The district is also one of the most affluent in the country. While single-family homes dominate much of the real estate landscape in Buckhead, the Peachtree Road area is known for high-rise condominium and commercial buildings. Although Buckhead is located in Fulton County, Buckhead public schools are part of the Atlanta Public Schools system. Buckhead is home to a number of top private schools in Atlanta, including Atlanta International School, Pace Academy, Lovett School, and The Westminster Schools.
