New Construction Experience:
Professional: On behalf of my buyer, I worked closely with a contractor to make certain that all the customizations requested were finished to the buyers' satisfaction and in a timely manner. Both the buyer and the contractor continue to contact me for new projects.
Personal: My husband and I bought our first home, made small improvements and updated it ourselves. After living in it for three years, we sold it and built our dream home, where we continue to live. We acted as the general contractors and did the framing, roofing, painting and landscaping ourselves and hired sub-contractors to do the rest. We also designed the floor plan.
Rental Investment Experience:
Professional: I am quick and responsive to market conditions. I've shown homes in person or video as early as 7:45AM and as late at 7:45PM. Working with professionals across different industries is a service that serves my investor clients well. Personal: My husband and I owned and managed a ten unit apartment complex in Pittsburg from 2002-2006. I really enjoyed meeting new people, even if they didn’t end up renting from us. One of the best outcomes from that experience was the relationships that I built with area professionals: plumbers, inspectors, painters, exterminators, carpet cleaners/installers, attorneys, city services and advertising professionals. Through these relationships, a problem could be taken care of with one quick phone call from anywhere.
Foreclosure Experience:
Professional: I have approved accounts with HUD and Fannie Mae and have successfully navigated the government REO sales process several times. When and REO offer period began at 11:00PM, I submitted the offer for my buyer and had e-mail confirmation that the offer was received at 11:03PM, because time is of the essence. Listing agent for foreclosures since 2025.
Personal: After I located a foreclosure property of interest, researched it, attended the auction and won the bid, I took care of the financial obligations to the bank, filed paperwork and waited out the redemption period. At the close of the business day on the final day, someone, who had bought the right of redemption from the mortgager submitted money and paperwork to redeem the property. They then filed court proceedings to take my deed. I researched the Kansas statutes and represented myself in district court. Even though the opposing side was represented by a licensed attorney, I prevailed.
Second/Vacation Property Experience: My favorite days are spent on the gulf coast of Alabama and the Florida. Although I don’t yet own a vacation home, I have spent time viewing condos and homes in that area and can refer you to my realtor.
