Matt and his family moved to Williamson County in 2006 as part of a corporate relocation. The home they built became the 5th house his family had lived in over the prior 6 years, and ultimately his 11th relocation. The family members were no strangers to relocation or finding new homes, schools, doctors, dentists and friends. They embraced what they expected to be their last move, and grew to love Williamson County and call it their true home.
Matt grew up in southeast Michigan and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Immediately after college, he joined a major global automotive company in sales and marketing. He has spent over thirty years with this company in many different senior and executive level positions. He recently finished his Executive MBA from Washington State University, which illustrates his mantra that you can never stop learning.

Matt and his wife Kim currently reside in Franklin. Their oldest son graduated from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and is currently working on his doctorate in Physical Therapy at Belmont University. Their youngest son attends Florida State University, working on a dual major in Environment & Society and Geography. Matt and Kim enjoy running and animal rescue.
