Matt is all the excellent things. I've never met someone as others-first as Matt. When I moved to Chicago, Matt patiently helped me and my family find a beautiful place. He worked with us through the entire process, matching us up with the right people along the way. When I moved away, I worked with Matt to sell/rent my condo, and he did an amazing job, accommodating my busy work and family-life and often running the entire process. Matt is an incredible agent! We have been in touch a few years as I evaluated potential purchases(timing was not right when we first made contact in 2019). This year I was ready to pull the trigger on a House hack through a duplex. Matt is a great realtor for those looking at purchasing a long term investment as he personally owns investment properties. He is also extremely knowledgeable for just your standard home buyer as well. His patience is outstanding as I had to eventually pivot after months of looking during one of the hottest seller markets to a condo with future potential cashflow in mind. You will not find a harder working agent in Chicago. Even with a frustratingly long process due to this market I never doubted I had the best agent assisting me. I will highly recommend him to anyone looking for any sort of property in Chicago.

Matt is GREAT because he listens and communicates. He allowed us to sort of lead our process but was still hands on. I'm sure he has a lot of clients but never once did I feel like we were his #2 or #3 clients. Matt is also very knowledgable and purposeful with his work. Before we put in an offer, we did his research up front to find a fair offer price and when he did, the offer was accepted without hesitation. Fulton Grace overall was a well oiled machine and there were no hiccups in our experience. I'd refer Matt in a heartbeat.

We recently purchased an investment property. Our agent Matt, an investor himself, had been tremendously helpful. We saw several properties before made final purchase. Matt was always very responsive to our questions and getting all the details about the properties. He showed us the article he wrote about negotiating in seller's market, pro and cons about 1-bed, 2-bed and 3-bed apartments in rental market and in different neighborhoods.

For each of the properties we saw, besides sending us comparables of sales and rent, Matt built a spreadsheet for us so we can calculate returns, cash flows, equity, with various assumptions about rent, expenses, mortgages, etc. Matt also sent us landlord guide that he drafted listing all the tasks for landlord including listing, property management, tracking expenses, regulations, etc.

Matt always goes extra miles to help and he's genuine.

I agree with other reviewers, Matt really is the best.

I cant say enough about what a over the top job Matt's done for me. I was happy to work with Matt at first because he is professional and most if all honest.
As we began the rental process i was informed and advised in all the right directions, I felt at ease the entire time.
Even though it was the middle of a pandemic he lined up a list of solid tenants with in a week of showings.

Matt Engle is (by far) the BEST realtor in Chicago. Unlike many, he is a VERY hard worker and will go above & beyond. We’ve bought homes in other states and wish we could have had Matt with us to guide us. I would choose Matt’s help to sell or buy a home over ANYONE. From start to finish, he was incredibly responsive, knowledgeable and strategic in our approach to finding a new home. He went on an 8-hour stretch, driving around the city, sending us videos to find the right home as we were living out-of-state at the time. Matt was one of the first to respond in my initial search for a realtor in the Chicago area. Current location in Boston made the logistics of my search and availability tricky, however, Matt never made me feel like I was an inconvenience. - Analyzing deals
- Connecting me to his network (contractors, lenders, home inspectors, etc...)

Downtown Chicago has a lot of living options to choose from when renting...and the only way to get exactly what you are looking for is to use an expert like Matt Engle. Gone are the days of hoping to find something on Craigslist. He was a wealth of information and knew exactly what buildings I would be interested in when he listened to my main criteria. Showed me multiple buildings that I didn't even know existed and he had access/knowledge to which buildings were having certain specials. Even took me back to look at 1 of the buildings twice to get a 2nd look (which i ended up signing). I worked with Matt to sell my condo in North Center. I live in Denver and I was able to work with Matt seamlessly from afar from listing to closing with very little effort on my part. I was very nervous trying to sell a property from another city, but Matt made it so easy. His communication was always thorough and prompt. I asked a lot of questions and Matt never hesitated to take the time to explain the process and listen to my thoughts on tactics and pricing. Matt essentially acted as property manager for me while we were on the market, checking in on the unit to make sure it was safe and secure, and managing some of the maintenance work we needed to do prior to listing.
