I had a wonderful experience working with Matt and feel that I got lucky given that he was randomly assigned to me through realtor.com. However, the luck of the draw worked to my favor, and my experience with Matt was first rate from beginning to end. Matt is a true professional who takes pride in being among the best real estate agents you can find. He was there with me at every step, and provided valuable guidance, without which I could not have navigated the complicated waters of the post-Covid real estate market. Through Matt's patience and perseverance, I was able to close on the house that I wanted in a very tough real estate market that demanded an expert agent like him. Couldn't have asked for a better realtor match. This guy was literally having a baby with his wife during our closing/buying process and would still respond and/or have his team support. He is able to quickly show homes, and determine what is the ideal fit. I treated this like dating, and he's the ideal "wing-man". Matt became a quick friend and support, and i know that if I have anything come up, he'll remain in my corner.

Things he does well:
Motivation - wants to actually help you get your best fit
Time Management - able to effectively use his time, and YOUR time when scheduling open houses
Knowledge/Expertise - knows OC very well, has lived and sold in most of the districts, also recently bought his own starter home for his family
Comfort - ensures you're comfortable when thinking about purchasing, has even advised me a couple time to not purchase homes that I thought "would be ok". Ok is not what he shoots for
Communication - makes you feel ok about not knowing things (first-time home buyer here), responds quickly which is key in OC given weekly turnover of houses

Things he could do better:
Letting his family know that his wife is going into labor before me (I happened to call him right as he's picking up supplies from the house)

Matt was so thorough and detail oriented from the very first day! We began our home buying process in an exploratory manner since we are first time home buyers. We probably saw around 30 places over a 3+ month period, and throughout the entire time Matt was extremely patient, helpful, and straight up fun to be around. As first time home buyers he was able to teach us everything about the process and was very responsive with any questions we had. He helped us negotiate and navigate through an extremely tough market and once our offer got accepted he was helpful in keeping things on track, negotiating our request for repairs, etc. We are so pleased with our home and just glad about how everything went.
