I was far out of my element & very green when starting my search for a place in an Urban setting as opposed to the suburbs I had been living in most of my life. I was nervous about not only the search, but of my naivete with city real estate and had fears of making the wrong decisions that I'd regret but also of annoying any Realtor I had with wanting to see listing after listing as well as having a million questions. Matt Silver was highly recommended to me by a close friend. The moment my sons and I met Matt we instantly were put at ease & felt comfortable and confident in him. His personality is so welcoming and his wit & humor make the process much more fun than I ever would have expected. His knowledge of the City, the market, condo rules, HOA's, Urban living (and all that goes along with it) is unending. He answered EVERY question I had and helped to walk me thru questions I didnt even think of. Working with Matt was like taking a Master Class in Urban Living & Real Estate. It truly helped give me the full spectrum of the market. We never once felt rushed along, pushed or that we were wasting his time. If anything, Matt took extra time to point out specific things that could be a hinderance or a possible issue down the line with certain listings that I would never have thought of. I guess to put it in simpler terms, Matt had my back thru the whole process and he STILL has my back even today. I still have that naivete of city living (I'm learning) and though we closed in 2021, if ever I need a recommendation of a contractor or have a real estate issue/question I know I can contact Matt and he will walk me thru it or make suggestions to help. That is the type of realtor I will always want beside me when buying or selling real estate. His list of accolades is a mile long for a reason but there is no ego or bravado that he brings along with it. I have been & will continue to recommend Matt to anyone who will listen because Matt Silver is the real deal & I am so lucky to call him my Realtor.

On more than one occasion, he was able to talk me off the ledge and assure me that things would work out ok, which of course they did! If you take nothing else away from this review it should be this - WORK WITH MATT! He is caring, honest, responsive and supportive. As a first time home owner Matt took extra care in explaining the process to my husband & I, pointing out details that would have gone unnoticed and asking us the right questions to help us think through what we really wanted and needed. He was always willing to go the extra mile for us and has so many connections/people to help (everyone from mortgage brokers to plumbers to floor specialists). I always felt I could be honest and I think he started to read my mind! He helped us find the perfect home in our ideal neighborhood and we couldn't be more excited to start our family here. My wife and I recently moved to Chicago and knew we wanted to purchase a house but didn’t know exactly where. We relied on Matt’s extensive knowledge of the area and expertise. We’re thankful for his incredible patience as we toured various neighborhoods in Chicago as well as the surrounding area. Matt also has an incredibly knowledgeable team that included the lender, attorney, home inspection services, and he introduced us to his trusted network of contractors (painters and movers, etc.). We had hundreds (literally) of questions about property taxes, transportation access, and amenities in the area, all of which Matt could answer and he provided us with resources to build our knowledge.
