About Matthew
Matt Flood is a lifelong resident of the Washington, DC metropolitan area and as such, has a superb knowledge of the region and its real estate market. Licensed in Virginia, Maryland and D.C., Matt has enjoyed helping clients all throughout the region. Prioritizing relationships over transactions, Matt has built a reputation among his peers and clients as a trustworthy resource that works tirelessly to make the home buying and selling process as comfortable as possible. He strongly believes that everybody deserves top-notch representation and that the level of service should remain consistent, whether it is a multi-million-dollar transaction or helping someone purchase their first home.
Prior to his career with TTR Sotheby's International Realty, Matt had extensive experience in sales, working as a Customer Satisfaction Coordinator for an online custom apparel company with annual gross revenue exceeding $300 million. His role involved the design and development of reports analyzing all aspects of customer satisfaction. He acted as the voice of the customer, relaying this information to the company executives and other top decision makers. It was here that Matt developed an appreciation that customers and clients do not need a salesperson, but rather an advocate.
Matt earned a B.A. in Political Science from the College of Charleston in South Carolina. It was during his time there, as well as his five months studying abroad in Sydney, Australia that cemented his love for traveling and experiencing the different architecture, history, culture, and food of various cities around the globe. His travels since have taken him to cities throughout the U.S. and countries including Mexico, Canada, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Austria, Turks and Caicos, the Dominican Republic, Monaco, and Fiji. He spent a particularly memorable time in France, proposing to his then girlfriend and now wife, Laurie in Paris before spending the remainder of the vacation as a newly engaged couple along the southern coast in Antibes, Nice, and Cannes.
In his free time, Matt, his wife Laurie, and their daughter Cara enjoy exploring Washington's diverse museums, parks, and theaters.
