As a New Yorker looking to move out of State, I had planned a very short trip to Waynesboro in order to view a few houses in that surrounding area. There was some complications with reaching my realtor, so my friends gave me Matt's contact info. I reached out to him on a Friday night, and he was actively showing me houses on Saturday morning! He dropped everything to help me out! I ended up buying the 1st house he showed me! Matt was able to turn a very scary experience into a fantastic experience, and treasured memory. I highly recommend using Matthew Howdyshell when looking to buy your home! When me and my wife was looking to buy Matt was always prompt to awnser our texts and calls when we seen something we wanted to go look at, and that is very important in this market! He was very knowledgeable on everything as far as the value of the houses and looking for any kind of problems with structure of the homes to plumbing, electrical, etc. Matt also has very good contacts that he works with from the loan officers to closing agents. They all work great together too make sure you are taken care of and keep you informed of what is going on! You start out with just calling him for a realtor and as soon as you meet him you instantly have made a friend who has your back! So if your reading my review don’t look any more go with the bowtie guy you will be glad you did!!!!

Awesome! The main reason I asked Matthew to work with us on finding a home was because of the good reviews I had seen. So it seems right that I add another positive to the list. We don't have alot of time in our schedule for much of anything with full time jobs and 5 kids, but Matthew worked with that and was so accommodating. We were under a time crunch and he came through with hardly any problems normally associated with buying a house. My poor realtor, I dragged him through hell and back. Under multiple contracts, fitting a numerous of house viewings in under a day with his kids 6th birthday party the same day, MULTIPLE calls and texts late night doubting my real estate decisions. I’m not sure why he didn’t drop me as a client! But he didn’t and he came through in a difficult time (moving from Florida with very limited time in person). Even though he is family I would still recommend him to everyone if not. Sell or buy, OR BOTH with the Bow tie guy. Make sure he wears the bow-tie though, he slacked on that some.

Matt was absolutely fantastic through the sale of my 90 year old grandmother’s home! I would have not made it through the process without his help and expertise. No matter the challenge he always had options for a solution. We had full price offers in the first week and closed for over asking in just a little over a month from putting it on the market! He really knows the area well and has the right instincts on what sellers and buyers want. But what I truly appreciated is his kindness and empathy through the process he gave to my grandmother, even down to making sure she had a parking spot downtown right outside the lawyers office for closing for easy accessibility.
