He loves being a Realtor and was lucky to find his calling after a long and varied career that built the entrepreneurial skills he relies on today. He's a native Michigander, and more recently lived in Los Angeles, and then San Francisco. After careers in Hollywood and then fitness, his real estate journey was born in the Bay Area where he trained several of the area’s most successful Realtors. Working with them for several years and learning about their real estate lives - he was hooked. They taught him so much, allowing him to shadow them on listing appointments, open houses, showings and inspections. That hands-on practical experience set him up for what would become great success as one of the highest producing agents in Detroit.
Like so many of their friends on the west coast, his husband and he kept hearing about the exciting resurgence of Detroit and the investment and intention being put into this proud, historic city. After a few visits, they fell in love with the architecture, the history and culture, and the energy of possibility. They engineered their move here where they have been warmly welcomed and started their evolution from 700-sf apartment dwellers to homeowners of a 100-year-old brick Tudor they are renovating.
Returning to Michigan was also the perfect time to make the jump into full time real estate work. He immediately got his real estate license which he now hangs at O’Connor Realty in Corktown, a boutique agency of about 40 agents, and the highest producing brokerage operating in Detroit. Most of his colleagues live in the city and between them they have deep neighborhood expertise in every significant residential area of the city as well as the Woodward corridor and lakefront suburbs. This collective knowledge (and their reputation for integrity and excellence) is a competitive advantage for both their buyers and sellers.
If you’re interested in Detroit’s real estate market – from gorgeous historic colonials, Tudors and Italianate mansions in Palmer Woods, Boston Edison and Indian Village to charming Victorians in Corktown and West Village, to the explosion of new construction condominiums in Midtown – reach out and put him to work! He’s looking forward to meeting you and helping you on your own Detroit journey.
