Matt started his career in real estate after teaching high school History for more than ten years in both Chicago and Highland Park. He was raised on the Northside of Chicago. He attended Loyola University Chicago where he earned a B.A in History and English. While in college, Matt spent time studying in Rome, Italy enabling him to travel extensively throughout Europe.
After thoroughly enjoying the rehabbing of a 100-year-old 3 flat in Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood, Matt decided to change careers to focus full-time on real estate. He joined Lake Shore Properties in 2004 and in 2016 he joined the Baird & Warner team in the Evanston office. Although focusing his business primarily on single-family homes, Matt’s clients will also benefit from his knowledge and experience of owning and managing multi-unit properties.
“Being a realtor is often very similar to teaching. Clients, like students, want to know important information in a logical, concise and understandable way. My first experience in Real Estate was as a client, so I understand firsthand the pressure people feel when buying and selling their homes. My job is to make that process as simple, as informative and as easy as possible.”
With 12 years of experience, Matt uses his firsthand experiences to help his clients stay fully informed and educated throughout the entire process of buying and selling a home.
