Matthew has lived in San Diego for over 25 years. He's lived in Mission Valley, Pacific Beach, Poway, Encinitas, La Mesa, Solana Beach, and now Carmel Valley, which has given him a good feel for the San Diego area. He attended San Diego State University and UCLA, receiving a Bachelors in Business Administration, completing courses in real estate finance and residential appraisal.
Matthew feels that the clients are the most important part of the equation. “I basically work with all my clients as if they were a family member or close friend. When they’re selling, I work hard to get them the most for their property, acting as if it were my property that I was selling. And when buying, I not only want to help them find the home of their dreams, but also work to make sure they know all the negative points about the particular property they’re interested in, so they’re making a very well-informed decision. Buying a home is a huge investment, and I’d much rather see them pass on a purchase rather than overpay or buy because they were unaware of some of the drawbacks”.
Matthew likes to view each transaction from the investment side. “Although most people will choose a home for aesthetic or emotional reasons, I like to assess the transaction from an investment angle to make sure their sale or purchase is always a good deal for them.”
As a child, Matthew spent a few years living right on the sand in Cocoa Beach, Florida where his father was stationed with the Air Force. The time in Florida instilled in him a total love of the ocean. When he’s not working, he can often be found down at the local beaches swimming, surfing, or bodysurfing.
