My name is Matt Van Voorhis, also known as The Hockey REALTOR®, and I’m proud to be part of the team at Pemberton Real Estate.

Hockey Career:
Before real estate, I spent several years pursuing my passion for hockey. I played collegiate hockey at the University of Denver, where our team won the 2017 NCAA Division I National Championship. After graduation, I continued my career professionally—playing two seasons in Oslo, Norway, and one season in the East Coast Hockey League with the Kalamazoo Wings.

Education & Licensing:
I earned my degree in Real Estate and the Built Environment from the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver. I’m a licensed real estate agent in both Minnesota and Wisconsin, proudly serving clients across the Twin Cities metro and surrounding areas.

Matt help us sell our house in the Crystal/New Hope/Robbinsdale area this past spring. I had spent 9 months fixing it up and getting it ready to sell on my own. Matt came in a month before we wanted to list and advised me on the last details to touch up. He pointed out a few things I had not though would matter, and also a few things not worry about. This helped us get to the starting line on time and ready to go. From there, he took care of all the staging, photos, preparing the listing, and worked with us to get all the disclosure and paper work ready. Throughout we were impressed with his availabilty and his attention to detail to make sure everything was in place. This all lead to a very smooth process getting the house on the market at a smart price. He handled scheduling of all the showings, open houses, and used some pretty slick tools and websites that allows us be to aware and informed of how our listing was progressing, but essentially kick our feet up and watch him do his thing. Matt's strategy ended up generating several offers well over asking after the first weekend. He did an excellent job managing those offers, countering, and getting what we felt was a very great closing price for our home, above even what I envisioned an optimistic cloising price might be. The closing went smoothly without any surprised. Matt took care of all the staging move out, we didn't have to do a thing other than make sure the keys were ready and the all the necessary services stopped/ready to transfer. Throught the whole process Matt made up feel informed and confident. We also appreciated his inclusive communication with both me and my wife. She felt as informed and aware as I did at all points though the process. We highly recommend using Matt as your realtor to list and sell a house in the Twin Cities and surround areas

I received Matt's name from a good friend that has used him as a realtor many times in the past. This friend told me that he is the only realtor he uses for his business. Matt is truly the best! From our first meeting through closing Matt proved I had made the right choice. He is experienced, professional, and dedicated to doing the right things for his clients. His eye for detail showed when he offered suggestions to improve my homes appearance before listing it. When the house went on the market, I received several very good offers and the home sold in less than 48 hours. The closing happened pretty quickly, and the whole transaction went through without a hitch. I can't say enough about Matt and will not hesitate to refer him to anyone that needs a good, reliable, trustworthy and competent realtor. Thank you so much Matt. You are awesome.
