I came to Maud with very limited experience and knowledge. I knew I wanted to buy a house, but I didnt know where to start or if I could afford it. She gave me this "to-do" list. I checked off everything in about a week. After that, the ball really started rolling. I got preapproved and I started looking at houses. There was still much more paperwork to do. However, everything went smoothly. I was actually ahead of schedule and I had the option to close early. Maud was always assured, confident in demeanour, knowledgeable, and presented advice without being aggressive. I could sense she was looking out for me. I highly recommend Maud.

My husband and I were out of state home buyers. Maud was able to discern quickly by phone what our needs and desires were for a home. Knowing the locale and market, she was able to show us inventory that met our needs.

Maud is an experienced realtor who is professional and courteous at all times. She is super patient with her clients and goes above and beyond. On several instances when I had to be out of town Maud viewed properties for me while video chatting. She knew my wants. needs and must haves and made excellent decisions in my absence. During several setbacks due to houses becoming unavailable in the midst of viewing or being outbidded, Maud became my therapist as well as my realtor! Lol. Her smile and energy are amazing.

We were so fortunate to have found Maud Shields of Smart Realty LLC when we moved to Maryland, as our Realtor, she helped us find the right house in the right neighborhood for the right price. She was patient and always ready to look at homes over several months and cautioned us about making unreasonable offers when we fell too quickly for overpriced homes.
