Megan had the challenging task of finding us a new home after being in one for 28 years. It took some time, as we were picky about what we wanted. Megan also educated us about appraisals, financing and negotiations. She responded to our changing locations and styles quickly and gave us hundreds of options online. When it came to crunch time, Megan set us up to get the deal, with a reasonable but winning strategy. She is part of the above and beyond Jane Lee team who helped us sell and buy a home very smoothly.

I don't often give reviews - I've found most vendors, reps, etc., that we've worked with through the years have been adequate - but not outstanding. When I have had a chance to work with someone who is, I will give a review, and that's why I'm writing this now.

My wife and I have a home in Phoenix, but we're originally from the Chicago area- and lived in unincorporated Lake County near Mundelein and Hawthorn Woods for years. Our families are in Chicago area, and for a couple of years we thought about buying a townhouse there so we could spend more time with them.

I contacted the REMAX group that Megan works with- because we've used them several times in the past - first when we sold our home in Mundelein, and then when we sold our first Arizona home in the Tucson area, and when we bought our home in Phoenix. They were able to refer us directly to very competent realtors in Arizona.

When we sold the Mundelein house, we were already in Tucson- and this was done remotely. The organization Megan is part of not only sold the house, but also took care of it- checked it to make sure all was o.k., kept it clean, mowed the lawn...etc.,etc.

When they staged the house, one of their reps did a remote walk through with us, so we could see everything without having to be there. That's why I contacted them again when we got serious about looking for a townhouse.

Megan called us and introduced herself to us- she took the time to understand what we were really interested in, as far as location, size, price, etc., and then began the process of finding appropriate properties that fit our parameters.

This is the point in which she became 'outstanding' in my opinion: the way I perceive a realtor's responsibility starts with finding MLS properties and sending them to potential clients - that's mostly done by computer these days.

What really impressed us was the additional work Megan did- for example, being in Arizona meant we were unable until the end to actually visit properties the way we would if we were in town. Megan arranged to walk through multiple properties for us- and do a live video so we could see everything.

At one point, we did fly in and visit several of these properties with her- none of which we ended up buying- so it was then back to looking for more properties. Megan did additional video walk throughs for us- and we finally selected a couple that we thought looked really great- and wanted to see in person. My wife flew back to Chicago, and visited those properties with Megan.

We picked one, and made an offer- Megan helped negotiate the price to an acceptable number for both the seller and us- and that brings me to what I consider the best part of working with her: her organization is the most complete realtor group I've ever seen- and it's not even close.

Among other things, they work with an attorney who handles all of the legal parts of this, at a very fair discounted fee- so that we didn't have to worry about possibly missing something, or making a mistake- it gives you a level of confidence when you're purchasing something large like this, knowing you have competent representation even when you're 1,800 miles away, as we were.

As this process unfolded, Megan was part of everything- acting as 'quarterback' between us, the seller's realtor, the attorneys, the title company, etc. She was the person at the final walk through- and again did it by video so we could watch all of it.

Megan is someone who will go 'the extra mile' for her clients- and I would highly recommend her to anyone. Her level of competence along with the full service I mentioned is what separates her from other realtors.
