Melissa Addis has been Buyer’s Choice Realty’s top producer since 2008. A native of Charleston, SC, Melissa combines Southern charm with 20 years of New England forthrightness.
She brings a passion for helping others that is reflected in her Human Services background where she received a BS in Psychology and went on to work as a Victim Witness Advocate for the Essex County District Attorney’s Office before ultimately becoming a Broker at Buyer’s Choice Realty. She is a member of the North Shore Association of Realtors, Massachusetts Association of Realtors, and the National Association of Realtors. She also serves on the board as the Membership Director for the Massachusetts Association of Buyer Agents. In addition, she is a member of the National Association of Exclusive Buyer Agents. Melissa holds an ABR (Accredited Buyer’s Representative) designation.
Melissa makes it her personal mission to find her clients a home that meets their needs and gets satisfaction when she can get her buyers a bargain. She thrives on helping buyers navigate through every step of the real estate transaction to ensure that her buyers have an enjoyable experience both during and long after the purchase process. She excels at articulating, communicating, and negotiating for her buyers. She understands what clues to be wary of that could turn a potential dream home into a money pit. Furthermore, Melissa knows the signs of a hidden gem that can turn a bargain into a great family home and a solid investment.
In her spare time, Melissa enjoys gardening, hiking the woods of Wenham, antiquing along the back roads of Essex County, and playing with her yellow Lab Calhoun. She is a past board member of The Wenham Village Improvement Society and the Acord Food Pantry. She is an active member of First Congregational Church of Hamilton and is married with two children.
