About Melissa
Melissa leads Rockford Construction’s legal team, providing counsel for the company’s real estate development, architecture, construction, brokerage and property management arms. She also serves as a member of the executive leadership team and Board of Directors, works with the CFO on the company’s risk management activities, assists with the One Rockford strategic plan, and directs and manages business development and community involvement efforts. With more than 25 years of experience in real estate, construction and development, Melissa offers a broad background of diverse experience ranging from public-private partnerships (P3s) to renewable energy projects, mixed-use developments, healthcare hubs, entertainment venues and more.
Her role also includes establishing and maintaining strategic relationships with clients, partners and governmental entities. She launched and leads the women’s initiative to develop and retain talented women in the construction industry and serves on the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion leadership team. Melissa also serves as the licensed supervising Associate Broker for Rockford’s two brokerage companies.
